Well we are already half way through February (WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE OMG) and I have a lot of things I want to do in 2016! And I used that particular Batgirl photo as my header because that is my “I’m gonna kick 2016’s ass” pose.
Okay fine it’s just a cool freaking photo and I wanted to use it. Sue me.
To hold myself accountable – and hopefully force myself to make some time to make sure everything happens THIS year – I wanted to share with you my goals for 2016 in cosplay, photography, and anything else!
For the last I don’t know how many years, I’ve kept telling myself I need to get in shape and be healthier before I lose the thinnish figure and high metabolism I’ve always been blessed with. I got a gym membership. I worked to eat healthier, and I’ve been working freaking hard to quit my sugary soda addiction.
But the truth is, I’ve been half-assing it.
Yesterday, I had my boyfriend join me in the fitness center at my apartment to show me the ropes on creating a good workout routine. At the same time, he decided to totally murder my muscles by putting me through a full body workout to start me off. I can confidently say that I am hurting all over today after everything we did yesterday!
While the apartment complex’s fitness center is limited on equipment, we were still able to find ways to do 13 exercises that targeted each area of my body. Here’s what the entire workout ended up being:
Everyone has their obstacles they must overcome when they decide to make the change to have an active and healthy lifestyle. I am no exception. So what is my biggest obstacle?
Soda. And really any sugar in general.
I have always been one of those lucky kids who had the uber fast metabolism and could eat and drink whatever the hell I want and still not even hit 100 pounds. I never exercised, with the exception of one year of a weight lifting class in high school, and felt that I never needed to.
